Debian-vote
An implementation of the Debian Voting System
Introduction
Debian-vote is an implementation of the Debian Voting System as described in the Debian constitution. It reads a list of votes from a tally file and performs the steps described in the Debian constitution to determine the winner of the vote.
The program supports:
- Supermajority requirements (3:1 for constitutional changes)
- Quorum requirements
- The Schwartz Set Clairaut (SCC) tie resolution mechanism
- Output of vote graphs in DOT format for visualization
Disclaimer: This is not the official implementation of the Debian voting mechanism. If you find discrepancies between this program and the Debian constitution, the constitution is correct and you have found a bug in this program.
